ClockVIEW™ offers "rules based" payroll rules where the administrator can manage the user definable rules through a Windows GUI (graphical user interface). Rules for grace periods, rounding, overtime, plus benefit accruals are all definable within the ClockVIEW™ time and attendance solution. The application can function either in a batch system or in real-time when used with its data collection counterpart GetDATA™. Together ClockVIEW™ time clock software and GetDATA automate the maintenance and implement the payroll software rules to each and every transaction an employee produces at any data collection device. ClockVIEW™ integrates with most payroll and ERP software systems via the PayVIEW and PutDATA™ software products.

Acumen Data Systems™ web initiative follows the Microsoft Internet strategy. ClockVIEW is an administrative client-side software and eClockVIEW™ / eCardVIEW™ / eTimeVIEW™ are Internet / Intranet based applications served via Microsoft's Internet Information Server (IIS) for use by employees and supervisors. The database management system is typically a Microsoft SQL Server but databases designs for Microsoft Access and Oracle are readily available.

Reporting is available on every data element and is designed to output reports in multiple formats including Adobe PDF. For power users who wish to elaborate upon the already robust reporting, InfoVIEW™ is an report writer designed for rapid professional customization of any data collected within an Acumen product. ClockVIEW™ offers standard time and attendance payroll reports, including time card reports, pay period end, raw time report (actual time clock punches), exceptions report (Late, Early, Missing Punch, Absent), and more.
