Training

Acumen provides for training client staff in the use and operation of automated data collection systems. Typical training programs are provided for management, operations and users. Most common is the "Train the Trainer" concept. The specifics of a training program are defined in the ADS-FDDS document. Elements of training are specific to the software and hardware delivered. For an example the Time/Data terminal user training, a supervisor can be intimately trained in the use of the Swipe reader, keypad and functions of the Time/Data terminal: Swipe reader is used for clocking. On the ID badge on what side should the bar code is facing? What direction do I run the ID badge through the slot? During the FDDS, ADS™ will prepare specifications for diagrams depicting use of the Time/Data Terminal. Remote Training is also available through Web Conferencing/Remote Access software which allows training to be done over the internet. Web Conference is an interactive tool which allows the users being trained by seeing the software work on an Acumen PC. Training with the Remote Access tool can be done using your software and data. This is done by remotely controlling your PC allowing a certified Acumen Technician to bring the user through the steps of using the software.

Remote Assistance

In certain situations Acumen may use a remote assistance tool to access files and troubleshoot issues quickly and efficiently. Acumen uses a tool that uses encryption to securely remotely control your PC.
