Premier Human Services, Inc. is a multi-service organization that provides residential services, independent living supports, and guardianship services for people with intellectual and other developmental disabilities.
These program models provide a continuum of services and accommodate a wide range of support needs including services designed to support people who may have multiple disabilities, complex medical and/or behavioral health needs, and whose needs are changing as a result of aging or other circumstances. Premier also designs flexible residential supports that provide a bridge and formal transition to living with greater independence in the community.
The residential and day care programs requires skilled workforce. The workforce pool encompasses direct staff and per-diem staff called floaters. The direct staff typically works a default shift weekly and the floaters fill-in for gaps and absences. The direct to per-diem staff is typically a 70/30 split respectively. Schedules are created mid-month for the following month.
Corporate management needs to validate the schedule against client census, acuity and dependencies as well as labor cost. Employees collaborate with management through editable preferences and requests for time off. Corporate runs the auto scheduler feature of ShiftVIEW to assign the open shifts to qualified staff and per-diem associates. The balance of the open shifts is greatly reduced and corporate, local management, staff and per-diem associates collaborate to finalize the schedule with minimal effort.
Messaging is integrated to the ViewSUITE applications as well as email and SMS Notification. Notifications of assignments and changes are sent via the messaging system.
Once the roster is posted any staff and associate can review online accommodating the web savvy users. Options for the mobile app are under consideration for the on-the-go staff.
Time and attendance and scheduling is integrated due to the nature of the single database for all ViewSUITE applications. Time & attendance rules are applied to transactions from Acumen’s WebCLOCK. Exceptions are edited and time is approved within LaborVIEW. The actual time and attendance is feed to payroll as well as back to scheduling for proper forecasting.
